White Australian colonialism the new Huns in remote Australia?

 A "Failed state " a former WA governor says Australia is now "creating a true terra nullius on Aboriginal peoples land.

The Huns are notorious in history for having genocidicaly cleared the plains of europe of their farmers to establish their own mode of production : herding. Here in australia ,we too attempted genocide by clearing the land of its inhabitants for sheep herding ,followed by wheat farming and cattle herding. Now the land is being depopulated and its remaining permanent inhabitants cleared out for the benifit of imperialist mining companies plundering ably assisted by their "mercenary" fly -in fly out workforces .(and a growing number of 457 visa indentured worker menials )

We call this Hun like economic process today "intervention" this process includes an attempt to further seperate the First Nation Peoples from their ties to their traditional communal lands,under the cover of a sudden concern for their children ,while mostly withdrawing whatever little government services were available in the past in remote areas.

A concerned former WA Governor John Sanderson says Australia is now creating a true terra nullius and
cites a think tank definition of failed states as base on poverty ,violence ,the lack of education health services and a perceived lack of government legitmacy.

"Its like an intervention into one of our pacific Island nations " He told the Australian .

Perhaps thinking of our Military law and order "interventions" in oil and gas rich East Timor too?

Nor was there any coherent plan to look after the ecosystem of the remote areas that make up about 85% of the land mass of Australia he said ,We needed more population in these areas, -not the closure of Aboriginal communities.

Aboriginal First Nation peoples as for more than 200 years now , have been in fight back mode to preserve both their communities and their rightsto their own land and the national right to liveand work on it.

They have never given or signed away sovereignity over their land.

Reparations for past genocidal attacks ,as well as for stolen labour value for when people were forced to work for "a little bit of tea and tobacco', or on half pay so that these peoples could be able to rebuild their communities should be paid and would be considered justice by a modern civilised nation but not by not those with a greed crazed racist white settler colomialist mentality .

But ,the head mercenary land agent for the white settlers and the mining companies recently touched down in a remote community and merely promised to somehow do a bit of backdating and write them into the 'white Australia constitution in order to obscure past practices and continue to be able to claim and collect mining royalties for the white settler nation while exluding the black nations from their national and human rights beyond giving out a handout or two.

He ALREADY said the white settlers were "sorry" for PAST stolen generations being seperated from their communities and the land and clearly their was no need to return any past or future colonialist loot.

All future mining royalties shoul remain the property of the dinky white settler nation they beleive and they call this national claim policy "A fair go"as they are the big democratic majority and always vote for that.

A report in The Australian says remote communities are presenting a gain a bill and claims this is exellent.

But this is beleived to be on the advice of people attempting to seperate them as a community from the just claims of all the united first nation peoples it is of course an important and just a for the communities concerned they are right to point to the white settlers future fund.
but the good future of the different First nations peoples cannot be seperately asssured without a national treaty with national reperations :

leaders from north-east Arnhem Land have called on the Federal Government to
spend some of the nation's $40 billion future fund on infrastructure and
services in remote communities.

Kevin Rudd and his frontbench team touched down in the mining town of Nhulunbuy
this morning ahead of a community cabinet meeting in Yirrkala.

Mr Rudd and his cabinet ministers will today be presented with a 25-point
statement of intent drafted by Yolngu and Bininj clan leaders on behalf of 8000
Aborigines from north-east Arnhem Land.

Led by Northern Land Council chairman Wali Wunungmurra and former Australian of
the Year Galarrwuy Yunupingu, the clan leaders are set to call for a "new era"
in Aboriginal affairs.

They demand the Government amend aspects of the emergency intervention into
remote Northern Territory Aboriginal communities, quarantine a portion of the
$40 billion Futures Fund, establish a national indigenous body comprised of
elected regional representatives, re-establish a stand-alone department of
Aboriginal affairs with its own minister in cabinet, and press the NT government
to establish a clear policy on homelands and outstations.

In their statement, the leaders stress the need for government support of
locally based indigenous economic development initiatives, investment in
education and training, and recognition of the rights of Aboriginal people in
the nation's constitution.

They have called for the establishment of regionally based advisory forums on
health, education, training and infrastructure and have called on the government
to "stop taking advice from self-appointed `experts' and `Aboriginal leaders'
who claim to know what should be done to improve our lives when they in fact
know very little about our communities, our culture."
