I want to protest the treatment of women in Afhganistan
I want to protest the treatment of women in Afghanistan, particularly by the Taliban. Where do I go to do that?
Dishonesty of this protest movement
Regarding Afghanistan, I am willing to bet you have no idea of the breakdown of troop numbers there. You seem to have some deep seated hatred of the United States, but you are failing to mention the other countries with numbers of troops doing peacekeeping in Afghanistan - both large and small. From now on I expect more honesty from you, lest you just look like bashers of the U.S., and I want you to mention these countries, and that this operation is sanctioned by the United Nations:
Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemberg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, U.K., U.S., Albania, Austria, Azerbaijan, Croatia, Finland, Macedonia, Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland, New Zealand.
So let's see you complain about the governments of all of those countries in the future.
Your continual attacks on the United States make you a very handy tool for the Moslem fundamentalists who would have you all stoned to death in an instant. I sometimes wonder to what extent you people are being used by these fundamentalists for their own ends. Even if not, you are doing them plenty of favours.
In what way is this going to stop any war?
If all troops depart, the war will get worse. Faction against faction, brother against brother. Just how do you think your proposal is going to stop any war in Afghanistan or Iraq? Iraq should not have been invaded (and my own personal view is that it was no more than an act of revenge for 9/11) but now that these backward Sharia-ruled countries are occupied it is too late. Withdrawal of troops will result in complete disaster and collapse of infrastructure. And I repeat, what about the women who are going to return to being repressed. Don't you even care?
No, you don't give a stuff about the repression of women, forced marriages, stoning to death of rape victims. You are just using the whole situation to attempt to further your own political aspirations.
I don't like your dishonesty - failing to state which countries have troops where. If you can be so dishonest with such basic facts about Afghanistan, I wouldn't believe anything else you had to say. You hide those facts which don't suit you. You are pandering to and appeasing a very dangerous movement which is gaining momentum and influence worldwide. This religious fundamentalist movement is so far removed from what you claim to hold dear - I just wonder what the hell you are about.
Re: In what way is this going to stop any war?
Look ,even the yank military after their actual experience in afganistan and Iraq return demoralised and suicidal often perhaps ashamed of their role of building US empire and imposing U$ rule over other countries ,
Even while using the pumped up contorted religious justifications you push ,perhaps they find their actual on the ground experience conflicts with reality on the ground.
They do Know for a fact ,that they were sent to Iraq to fight for a pack of proven lies , but they had thought they were fighting to "defend " America from weapons of mass destruvtion and a saddam connected to Al Quida.
Result, lacking access to all the truth , unresolvable mental problems of self esteem?
And that’s not counting suicides in the other imperialist and paid for puppet “allies” you mention.
“ Eighteen American war veterans kill themselves every day. One thousand
former soldiers receiving care from the Department of Veterans Affairs
attempt suicide every month. More veterans are committing suicide than are
dying in combat overseas.”
Of the 1.6 million US soldiers who have been deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan, 18-20 percent -- or around 300,000 -- show symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression or both, said Thomas Insel, head of the National Institute of Mental Health.

Now the yanks have made a mess they pretend if they end their occupations things will get worse without mafia protection .
Not bloody likely!
