China quake lake threatens radioactive material stores

China is hurrying to remove radioactive and chemical materials
sitting downstream from a "quake lake" that threatens to burst and send
torrents of water into heavily populated areas following the May 12
earthquake in the region.
Nearly 100 unidentified radioactive sources have been ordered to be
removed from the path of the potential torrent of water, state press is
reporting, citing the nation's environmental protection bureau.
