The President of the National Roads and Cyclists Association, Mr Alan
Odds, today called on the car insurance industry to insure bicycles
against collision damage.
Referring to AAMI research that almost half - 47 per cent - of
Victorian car drivers have had a close call with a cyclist, Mr Odds
said that said, "There is a real need for this cover and it is long
overdue."

She
began her career as an artist at the age of 17 when she completed her
Certificate in Showcard and Ticketwriting and Commercial Art. She
painted advertising posters for various stores until 1948.
Jean
paints in an impressionist style, applying colours side by side with as
little mixing as possible to create a vibrant surface.
Pine Gap Protestors Jailed

Four Christian peace activists who were convicted of
breaking into the U. S.
spy base at Pine Gap, have chosen to go to jail, rather than paying fines.
Donna Mulhearn, Jim Dowling, Adele Goldie, and Bryan Law,
all belong to the group, Christians Against All Terrorism, and in 2005 were
caught entering the base near Alice Springs.
