Anti -war Hiroshima and Nagasaki month:Imperialist war But ;"Who Started the Blitz"?
Posted August 2nd, 2008 by Anonymous
Between 1940 and 1945, sixty-one German cities with a total population of
25 millions were destroyed or devastated in a bombing campaign initiated
by the British government. Destruction on this scale had no other purpose
than the indiscriminate mass murder of as many German people as possible
quite regardless of their civilian status. It led to retaliatory bombing
resulting in 60,000 British dead and 86,000 injured.

Housing affordability: Neutralizing stamp duty and development levies
Posted January 26th, 2008 by Anonymous
It is appropriate that the surge in Melbourne home prices has
rekindled debate on conveyancing stamp duty, but not so appropriate
that the discussion has focused on the size of the duty instead
of its base. Reducing the size of the duty must have a
budgetary impact, but changing its base need not.
Another N.S.W. Public Service Whistleblower Bites the Dust: Dr Linda Dayan
Posted September 30th, 2007 by PyewacketDr Linda Dayan was formerly head of the Sexual Health Clinic at
Royal North Shore Hospital. After raising concerns about finances, she
lost her position, and now works in a private clinic. Let's hope she
wasn't sent to HealthQuest and 'certified', as many public servants
are. This is such a typical N.S.W. public service whistleblower story.
What about the Protected Disclosures Act? It is useless, obviously. One
wonders if she went to those other useless organizations for help - the
ICAC and the Ombudsman. Or maybe even the Health Care Complaints
Commission. What a joke that is.
