Between 1940 and 1945, sixty-one German cities with a total population of
25 millions were destroyed or devastated in a bombing campaign initiated
by the British government. Destruction on this scale had no other purpose
than the indiscriminate mass murder of as many German people as possible
quite regardless of their civilian status. It led to retaliatory bombing
resulting in 60,000 British dead and 86,000 injured.

Criminalising Dissent: Australia and Burma
Posted October 6th, 2007 by Anonymous
It is ironic that John Howard, a man who has done more to criminalise dissent in Australia than any other Australian Prime Minister, is so concerned about the Burmese people's attempts to overthrow an odious military dictatorship by taking to the streets.

Free the Burmese Refugees held on Nauru
Posted October 4th, 2007 by takver
"While the Australian Government express outrage at the Burmese military junta's treatment of the Burmese people, we continue to detain 7 Burmese men on Nauru even though we recognise them as refugees. These men fled the Burmese regime to Malaysia where they were again persecuted. They are members of a minority group called Rohingyas." said Pamela Curr from the Refugee Convention Defenders Alliance.
