Anti -war Hiroshima and Nagasaki month:Imperialist war But ;"Who Started the Blitz"?

 

      Between 1940 and 1945, sixty-one German cities with a total population of
      25 millions were destroyed or devastated in a bombing campaign initiated
      by the British government. Destruction on this scale had no other purpose
      than the indiscriminate mass murder of as many German people as possible
      quite regardless of their civilian status. It led to retaliatory bombing
      resulting in 60,000 British dead and 86,000 injured.


The Passing of Pip Starr - Australian Activist Videographer

Pip Starr, documentary maker, video activist and great companion, passed away on Tuesday the 22nd of January 2008. Pip had worked closely within the activism community for 10 years as an independent journalist, reporter, and film maker who documented anti-nuclear, climate change, globalisation, indigenous and many more movements largely in Australia and the Pacific.

Carteret Islands Speaking Tour

The people of the Carteret Islands are about to make history, as they begin to leave their island to find a new home. Rising seas are making their atoll uninhabitable making land too salty to grow food and by gradually wasing the beaches on the small, sandy isalnds. When a suaitable home can be found they will start to leave. They are getting by now with the help of shipments of free rice from the Autonamous government of Bougainville.
