Between 1940 and 1945, sixty-one German cities with a total population of
25 millions were destroyed or devastated in a bombing campaign initiated
by the British government. Destruction on this scale had no other purpose
than the indiscriminate mass murder of as many German people as possible
quite regardless of their civilian status. It led to retaliatory bombing
resulting in 60,000 British dead and 86,000 injured.

Tassie's forests. Pulped or protected? - Rally and march in Melbourne
Posted May 2nd, 2008 by AnonymousThe ANZ can stop the pulp mill by refusing to finance it. We are holding a rally and march in Melbourne to demonstrate the continuing community opposition to the pulp mill and to convince the ANZ not to finance it.
Stopping the pulp mill is crucial because it will be a disaster for climate change. It will be 80% native forest-based, consuming an area of forest equivalent to 100 000 MCGs.
This rally and march can demonstrate to the ANZ Bank that the community does not want them to finance the mill.
