Can I Come Back Now?

The coverage of the Cheney demos looked exciting. I wish I could have been there, but these days I'm considered by sections of the left to be either a Police spy or a Scab because I owned up to my involvement in allowing an Iranian refugee to use a passport in my name to get to Canada.

I was wrongly blamed for the prosecution of other activists for similar offences, but I didn't name any of them because I only knew my involvement and the fact that one other activist had asked me to do this.

I long to be part of the left again and to be able to safely attend protest rallies. I'm still a Socialist, still a believer that the war is wrong, that locking up refugees is wrong, and that same sex couples should be able to marry if they so choose.

I'm sorry that I wasn't strong enough to stand up to the AFP. But I'm not the enemy, I'm not part of the ruling class or the conservatives.
