Unless you want to be forever labeled a confired 'Eco-terrorist "
do not vote for 'non peacefull' means.

Even for fun.
The powers that be are pretty good at internet tracking .
Eco Terrorist
Well, we are all safely landlocked here, so we won't be attacking any whaling ships.
Attention ASIS: It's only hypothetical!
I haven't got a frigate that all six Indy contributors can pile into and set off to stop the whaling!
Re: Attention ASIS: It's only hypothetical!
oh frig it then,
frigates
I voted for the frigates, but I only support the idea for as far as defending territory that Australia is recognized internationally to have responsibility for. We can't just send the frigates anywhere on the oceans of the earth to stop whaling, that would eventually cause an incident with the military of another country. Defend what we should, and lobby other countries to do the same.
Re: How far would you be prepared to go to stop the killing of w
I think that Australian government and people are the wrong ones to be pushing this issue, because of historical and current racist actions, attitudes and reputation. Conservative forces in Japan are promoting whaling for reasons of national identity. Support for whaling will be increased by the actions of racists, arrogant people, and people who lie. I think the best idea for opponents of whaling is to try to work with and for other people and organizations who have similar attitudes and allow their words and actions to have an effect. Can you help Japanese environmentalists, or ones in say, Greenland or Tonga to put good arguments against what the Japanese whaling policy is? Can you think of good alternatives to suggest? Can you think of ways to empower small Pacific Island nations to be able to resist colonial powers like Australia, the USA and Japan when it comes to environmental policies and Indigenous rights to life, culture and resources? Sometimes standing back, shutting up from public speech and helping others is far more effective than being in the limelight with a big gun.

Boycott all Japanese products. remember that toyota you needed try hyundai or KIA, help the yanks and buy a jeep or be a true Aussie and buy a holden. done buy Sony, buy samsung or LG. that is the way to make them feel the hurt. hit them where it hurts. we are making whale meat a rare commodity and japs yearn for them. beat them in the groin if their mouth is offensive.

read "don't" buy SONY. if every one around boycotts every Japanese product it then will hit them hard. if they are able to do this by economic strenght then beat them at it dont use violence it never works
Re: How far would you be prepared to stop the killing of whales?
If we boycotted every company from every country that does bad things in the world we wouldn't be able to buy anything.
So all the anime fans should stop buying DVD's of their favourite shows? Your suggestion is rediculous. Most companies in Japan have little power to stop whaling. They are just people getting on with their own business.
However, I support the call to boycott Sony as they engage in anti-consumer practices such as installing rootkits on CDs they sell.
Pet Feeling
Sometimes I feel pets / whales worth more than people in Australia-perhaps, it's easier to love animals than neighbours.
