There are many people currently with cases in the AdministrativeDecisions Tribunal, the N.S.W. Industrial Commission or other courtswhose cases involve assessment at HealthQuest by various doctors, mostof which assessments were signed off by Dr Peter Dodwell, Chief MedicalOfficer.
You need to know that Dr Dodwell is gone from HealthQuest and the H.C.C.C. has referred the matter to the N.S.W. Medical Board.
Ifyou currently have a fight with HealthQuest, you need to subpoena thedocuments relating to Dr Dodwell's departure from HealthQuest as thesecould assist with your case.

Since when would HealthQuest be concerned about a govt employee with integrity - they are there to adhere to the request of a govt employer generally aren't they - is that what happens - the mindset will be the same it would appear - it would be interesting to know who has has taken the place of Dodwell - if any - it appears you don't really need an expect in that position only those who are willing and able to be manipulated - so the job is up for grabs - no qualifications necessary just as long as you listen to the unqualified reports the employer provides that's the only qualifications required to be eligible for the position! the only thing that seems to change are the doctors names - Dodwell will continue in another position and probably has been promoted so the corruption continues.

He is up for deregistration by the Medical Board. This time, the GMO does not get to join the Rising Stars Club.

That is good very news - let's hope that HealthQuest is shut down for good - the hard work of Gerard Crewdson and Val Kerrison and others who have never given up the hard fight. Thanks to all that have contributed to bringing the likes of Dodwell and making him accountable for his dirty deeds done dirt cheap - for the sake of a fistfull of dollars!
Personal thanks to you Gerard - it's been a very long road for you but a good one hopefully in the end. You have certainly made a difference to many victims and this hopefully will be your legacy - a true believer in justice and someone who stood up for the disabled (at great personal cost) when they were not able protect themselves. Your courage, understanding and knowledge is truly unsurpassed by no other and at the same time so very humble and a true hero.

Out of interest, if this doctor has been involved in this unscrupulous behaviour for so long why has there been no conviction or nothing mentioned or exposed to the mainstream media?
If this has been going on for such a long time why hasn't the medical board dealt with this? Does anyone know what the process involves?
Other unscrupuloous doctors have been exposed and the recent case was Reeves and this was given priority on the news, a current affair and today tonight and all the papers. Isn't there anyway that this can be done to expose this to everyone out there instead of it being contained and kept a complete secret?
Why can't this information be sent to all the politicians or media from the information already provided on here or to the police or even lawyers - surely someone would be willing to take this matter up pro-bono?
There is also MEAG who apparently exposed the Reeves case - isn't there something that anyone can do about this from here or is this just another blog site and nothing gets done about it. If all this information is out there wouldn't it make sense to put it all together and provide it to the appropriate authorities?
I don't think many people out there would know this site even exists - this also needs to be explained in more detail as there are only snipets of the matter and does not provide much information on this doctor to someone new and it would appear that it relates to some internal thing rather than being informative to others who would not be aware of this and only comes across as blogging rather than beiing informed about what the matter relates to.
Sorry for all the questions but I am not aware of this doctor and don't think many other people would know anything about this and what can in fact be done to expose this.
Dodwell not exposed - why not?
We find it very baffling, and it makes us feel a bit paranoid about
the N.S.W. government, in that perhaps they have had a hand in the
coverup, but we cannot get the mainstream media interested in the
HealthQuest story any more, at all.
Back in 1998-2001, there were
articles in the Sun Herald by Sue Wiliams; Today Tonight did a
programme where they interviewed about 5 victims of HealthQuest, the
government medical office; several of us were interviewed on 2GB. Now,
no-one will publicise HealthQuest matters at all.
The chief
government medical officer has been sacked and yet no-one wants to
know. It's not for want of trying, believe me. We desperately want an
investigative journalist who will research the whole HealthQuest saga
starting in the 1980s. We can't find one.
We are just very
thankful that we have Sydney Indymedia to expose the HealthQuest human
rights abuses. Without this public exposure of the sins of the N.S.W.
government, I doubt we would have got this far.

Why do you feel baffled and paranoid about this - are you one of the victims because if you are it is really good news as it has apparently reached the mainstream media in an article published in the SMH on 17 June, 2008 by Natasha Wallace (Health Reporter). It is amazing how this has not been uncovered previously.

It is interesting that nothing has been out there since 2001? and yet how has this been made possible so suddenly if this has been going on for so long (I believe the article mentioned 10 years ago - the link is attached for those interested).
This is a complete turnaround from the information provided above as it would seem that the possibilities are out there it's just knowing who and how to contact.
Does indy have any knowledge on how this was possible and if so perhaps it would be helpful that this information and the full article be displayed on here for others to see. This is a complete breakthrough so whoever has made it possible needs to be congratulated on their efforts.
There are many teachers out there one of which is currently not in this country.
Does this only happen to teachers?
There has also been the case of a teacher who posed naked in Cleo recently and her partner (also a casual teacher), who was sacked. This seemed to get into the news and on the radio. Does anyone know anymore about that case and what has happened since the sacking as this also involved the teacher being terminated - the was something about them being reinstated - did they get sent to a HealthQuest also? There doesn't seem to be much difference between the two matters so why is one able to get into the media and the other does not? How is it that this person was able to go to the news and others fear identifying themselves as indicated in the article above? What difference does it make - the naked teacher didn't feel concerned about it and her name was out there.
The recent headline in the SMH "top health official sacked" should have made many heads turn even by it's very title and yet nothing was heard on the radio about it.
Well it's a confusing story by it's nature really
Even the Herald article is quite confusing and looks like it's been chopped and changed to avoid being sued for defamation, possibly without the journalist controlling the final read.
It does remind me of the Roy Medvedev book about abuse of medical power.
Sometimes too society just doesn't want to believe that people in positions of trust are crook. We do rely on social trust to get by day to day.
In the Reeves case the big media only bought in after a very trusted and experienced journo Ross Coulthard of Ch9 Sunday show did an in depth feature. And then a second follow up as well. This gave all the others the confidence to charge in on it.
Ross and some victim whistleblowers blew the lid off the shameful saga.
The teacher who posed nude with her husband - well that got heaps of coverage because she was pretty and so telegenic - as well as an arguable cause to push.
I think that the only way to really get a good run on this story is for an expert medical reporter say like Dr Norman Swan, and then only with a breadth of source material, to do the investigative work. Keep in mind Roy Medvedev (see wikipedia) wrote a whole famous book called " A Question of Madness" to show what a sham psychiatry had become under Stalin. Couldn't happen here? Dr Reeves happend. Dr Patel happened. There is that guy over in the UK who became the angel of death killing off old people acting like God.
