Piles Creek inquest reopens at Glebe on Monday the 2nd of June 2008 by Edward James

Monday
the 2nd of June rolls around again, this is 2008. This time the coroner
will again consider who will be held responsible, and why, for the
deaths of five people, the extended Bragg family, who lived in the
Gosford Local Government Area. The attached photo with comment added by
me was taken by Edward James at the road collapse site at Bulls Hill on
the Woy Woy Road a local road used by Minister John Della Bosca, his
wife Belinda Neal and their family.
I
am an activist interested in the honest political representation of
citizens who pay rates and taxes in NSW. This photo shows an 18 inch
drain which has been dug out from under the ground then cleaned and
cleared. But Denham Hitchcock from Channel Nine News and his film crew
filmed me digging out this important pipe with my bare hands. Council
assurances published in their agenda for the 2nd of June should be an
embarrassment after 80 people heard Stephen Glenn assure them council
had NO KNOWLEDGE OF BLOCKED DRAINS on the Woy Woy road. Assertions in
the council agenda that pipes and drains are maintained are bullshit,
and my local readers know that.

This
is what I exposed by digging with my hands. It was compost, worms and
beetles, leaves and sticks. The composting process would have taken
more than a few weeks and gives lie to the council assertions.

Denham Hitchcock in the white shirt looking at other stuff I showed him.
photos are about Bulls Hill on Woy Woy Road. Two of the four drains on
this short section were blocked, one which is very important to council
assertions made by Stephen Glen on behalf of the council about cleaning
and maintenance was actually buried and also almost completely blocked
with sand, gravel, leaves and sticks. I have other instructive photos
somewhere to support my position. The drain was buried and had been so
for years! The first photo shows the drain as I had dug it out with my
hands for Nine News, much green foliage about the place and the armco
is obvious. The next with a car in the photo shows the drain partly
exposed with a beer bottle for an indication of dimension purposes, as
I found someone else had left it. And the last photo is how it was
after it had been dug out, cleaned and exposed. As evidence that what
council assure us in writing is just simply not true.

very instructive photos that show gosford councils negligence.
Council trying to blame 'low levels of alcohol'
At the inquest today, it was stated that the driver had 'low levels of
alcohol and cannabis' in his blood. It was claimed that the effect of
the two combined to slow reaction times.
Re: Council trying to blame 'low levels of alcohol'
I was told today after lunch break, at the Glebe Coroners Court that the Crown thanked me for all my assistance, with photos and statements. But I would not be called to give any evidence. I wish that more people were involved and paying attention to what is occurring since these unlucky people died wrongful deaths, the corrupt Gosford City Council has worked toward protecting its own lazy elected corporate entity ass. I felt for the surviving family members, when I listened as the Dr explained in different words that a low dose of THC and low amount of Alcohol, when present in a persons blood together had a greater adverse effect on that persons judgement and motor skills than the sum of the two parts. This whole process is about apportioning blame and the dead inthis battle cant protect themselves, in fact they rely of the coroner to do that. Right now Gosford City Council is fixing Woy Woy Road at Bulls Hill. It collapsed because of blocked drains (partly blocked pipes at Piles Creek resulted in deaths of five people). On woy woy road blocked drains forced water to sheet across the road and in time softening an already dodgy structure till it reached liquefaction and slipped down the side of the hill. Two of four drains on a quarter mile section of that road were blocked and one of the two pipes in the accompaning photos had its outfall buried for possibly ten or more years. Maintenance my ass, the pipe which I dug out and exposed was four fifths full of sand and gravel which had dropped out of suspension during the years its outfall end had been buried and neglected. No one was killed this time but just consider it is almost a year and blocked drains remain blocked or not functioning properly. Has council management considered how bad the ten politicians who have accomadated this malfeasnce look? I do wish I was able to better report what I see occuring.

Negligence
Why don't you hand the evidence to the police before something happens and contact 60 minutes!
He has
Edward has handed the evidence to the police. As far as I am aware, his photos are being used in the inquiry. I saw them on 10 News the other night.
