Turning old music records or LP's into MP3 files
You will have to plug the record player into the sound card in the computer, open up a wav
recording program & select line out, this is where your record player should be plugged into,
into the lineout socket on your computers soundcard outlet. After you open up the wave
recording program start to record the LP or record, when finished you may want to edit the
wav sound file using a wave editor, the NERO program has a good wave editor that can
remove crackle & hiss from records & tapes. You will then need a MP3 convertor, I personally
prefer the BLADEENC program for windows, however NERO for windows has some good
MP3 functions, the MP3 convertor will compress the WAV file, note MP3 is patented
technology but it should not be because it is merely a compression program & there are
countless other compression programs available, like RAR, ZIP, ARJ, LHA, BZIP, BZIP2
TAR, GZIP & others. The MP3 files can then be recorded on to a DVD disk using a program
like NERO for windows, you can then play your classic records & LP's on your DVD player or
IPOD if you wish.
