Whistleblower Jared Golla Sacked from Iguanas

Jared Golla, manager at Gosford's Iguanas Waterfront Bar has been sacked and is considering legal action.

The owner of the restaurant is Dean Singleton.

It
was Mr Golla who claimed that federal Labor MP Belinda Neal spat on
him. In fact it was Mr Golla who destroyed the political ambitions of
John Della Bosca and Belnda Neal.

Mr
Golla was one of those who signed statutory declarations stating that
Ms Neal and Minister for Education John Della Bosca were drunk and
abusive towards Iguanas staff during a night out on 6th June this year.

Mr Golla said "I consider I have acted appropriately at all times."

Mr
Golla is struggling with a mortgage and is now unemployed. It is
alleged Mr Golla allowed a man to re-enter the premises after security
had decided he was too intoxicated.

Mr Golla had worked at
Iguanas for seven years. He was sacked by Steve Twitchen. There has
been friction between the two since Mr Twitchen agreed to sign an
apology that was written by Della Bosca himself.

Another
employee, Paul Trotter, disillusioned with management, resigned the day
after the 'apology' was issued to Della Bosca - the apology Della Bosca
himself wrote. Mr Trotter said, "No-one wants to work in that
environment."

The Director of Public Prosecutions is currently deciding
whether to lay charges over statutory declarations which were signed by
various parties following the fracas.

This would be a very rare
step which I don't believe has ever been taken before. Most people who
sign false statutory declarations, false affidavits or who give false
evidence in court get away with it in N.S.W. They are virtually never
charged with perjury.

There is currently a very serious complaint
related to perjury with a state government Serious Misconduct Unit so
it will be interesting to see what happens next.

All sympathy to Jared Golla - this is the lot of whistleblowers, unfortunately.

Their integrity may be intact but finances soon come unstuck. It is amazing how far Labor Party tentacles reach.

Best of luck Jared.

Whistleblower Jared Golla Sacked from Iguanas

There is no doubt that Mr Della Bosca and Belinda Neal have brought the Labor Party into further disrepute. Not because they were peeved about their party being asked to move to the balcony. But because they followed a fairly ordinary disagreement with staff, with what is perceived by many as an extraordinary abuse of power against workers and management not just any workers but their own constituents !  The fact that these two have not been booted from the party may be interpreted as Labor not bothered by the perceived abuse of political power.

One Iguanas worker quits, another sacked !

Not one but two staff from Iguanas who’s published statutory declarations, copies of which I hold, are gone. One resigned Paul Trotter the other Jared Golla was sacked.    http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/iguanas-worker-sacked-another-quits/2008/07/28/1217097148497.html    There are two separate issues here, the political issue in one place, which the Labor Party hope will go away. And the legal issue in another place which is perceived to be being laundered by Gosford Police and now the DPP. We read where there has been an actual admissions by one of Belinda Neal’s party, but that report aside, only a court can actually rule on the truthfulness of the Iguanas staff published statutory declarations, which I trust to be what they are made and witnessed to be, the truth. The number of lawyers involved in our State and Federal governments may not understand the Police and DPP are only able to offer an opinion! Until a court rules otherwise, the staffs statutory declarations have the same legal standing they started with under the Oaths Act when they were published by the print media. Remember Premier Iemma spends over a million dollars of taxpayers money for spin on damage control exactly like this. Politicians being incompetents, drunk with political power or simply just being feral .
