World Youth Day , is this just for followers of the so called christian faith????

What a surprise ! It is no secret that Pope Benedict was wearing a brown shirt in Europe during the run up to world war two. The unholy trinity of Pope Pell and Premier could not see guarding the War Memorial in Hyde Park as a high priority? Nice one Police Minister David Campbell. You long time ex Wollongong hump and Labor party member !!!

Umm, no. The Pope like many other young Germans was required to be in a youth organisation. Please don't distort the facts to sensationalise something. Make an argument if you think you know better but don't name call in place of argument.
Ed's Scoop of the Century! Joseph Ratzinger "ex-brownshirt"!
"It is no secret that Pope Benedict was wearing a brown shirt in Europe during the run up to world war two"
Really! You've got the scoop of the century on your hands here Ed! To think that up until now we were lead to believe that Joseph Ratzinger was a member of the Hitler Youth (like every other boy over 10 in Germany at the time), now you inform us that he was a member of the SA (brownshirts) "in the lead up to World War two"! This is all the more remarkable that, if we take into account the fact that young Joseph was born on 16th April, 1927, and that the Brownshirts were disbanded on 2nd July 1934, he would have been no older than age seven while a member!
You should get a job "reporting" for the News of the World Ed, they never let the truth get in the way of a good story!
Re: Ed's Scoop of the Century! Joseph Ratzinger "ex-brownshirt"!
Although.....
It is possible that Joseph Ratzinger might have, at some stage in the lead up to World War Two, worn a brown shirt. Others say it was more of a puce colour....
Perhaps this is where the confusion lies Ed?
Just throwing you a bone.....
Thanks for the bone.
It is no secret that Pope Benedict was wearing a brown shirt in Europe during the run up to world war two. Is that incorrect?
Now that would be a scoop.

Whoops I think I dated a passinonate, closet, Stalinist sleeper!
Ed, don't you have any friends from eastern Europe?
Check their CV's many of them were members of the Pioneers. Does this make them passinonate, closet, Stalinist sleepers now does it?
Ed's News of the World report.
Ed,
You're obviously not the sharpest tool in the shed.
In answer to your question, yes it is incorrect that Joseph Ratzinger was "wearing a brown shirt in Europe during the run up to world war two" I don't know how I could have been any clearer. Perhaps you should go back and read my original post if you are able to.
It's all very clear. Unless you are refering to an actual "brown shirt" then you are absolutely incorrect that Joseph Ratzinger was in the organisation, sometimes known as the "Brownshirts", known as the SA or "Sturmabteilung"(which I've kindly linked for your erudition).
You are displaying a massive ignorance if you believe that Joseph Ratzinger was "wearing a brown shirt in Europe during the run up to world war two" because this assertion is totally and utterly factually and historically incorrect.
