Alcoa Building Military Installation in Iceland
Posted April 5th, 2008 by AnonymousHi !!
i'm extremely interested in the slaughter of whales. In my web reseach, i surfed into www.SavingIceland.com
Even though Iceland is one of the whaling nations, i thought Australians would like to know what is going on there.
ALCOA (h/q Pennsylvania, USA) is among many MNCs interesed in invading the remote northern wilderness. Coincidentally there are moves to build hydroelectric plants among the glaciers to provide highly subsidised electricity.
TORRENT: [Animal Liberation DVD] Behind The Mask
Posted January 6th, 2008 by AnonymousAfter spending nearly 11 years in prison for breaking into an animal experimentation laboratory to expose animal cruelty, a young man is finally released and risks it all again to save more animals.
Who is he? What kind of a person would risk so much to save the lives of animals?

White Whale forces Military Retreat in US-Australian War Games
Posted June 29th, 2007 by takver
Migaloo, the white humpback whale, is forcing the USA and Australian military forces to reconsider using the Great Barrier reef for war games. The USA and Australian Defence forces have faced down a civil disobedience peace campaign against their Talisman Sabre War Games, from June 19 to July 2, at Shoalwater Bay near Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia, only to come up against the white whale!
Hundreds of people protested in Brisbane (Video) and later outside the restricted area, with many attempting to enter the area, several actually succeeding (Video) and evading capture for a number of days. (Audio reports: 1, 2, 3; Photos on Flickr) But still the military exercise continued, although possibly in a slightly subdued form. Now the combined military forces are facing another threat - a distinctive white humpback whale by the name of Migaloo has been sighted heading towards the exercise area, and the miltary are being forced to back off from endangering this beautiful creature.

One two three four take a hike?: from g20 today
Posted November 17th, 2006 by AnonymousFalun Dafa stole the show, but I missed the action at Orica - though there were enough cameras around that somebody ought to be able to report?
by pc via sam
Having failed to meet up with the Give-20 seed distribution at Flagstaff Gardens (http://stopg20.org/node/158) I carried on to the protest site at Collins/Russell, meeting a group of radical cheerleaders running towards Swanston Street pursued by an equal number of police. The Christian protest was very small. I had been told something was going to happen up in the neighbourhood of St Vincent's at about 1 pm, so was going to carry on east when I heard drum beats and sounds of a band. The photos below only show a fragment of the amazing demonstration put on by the Falun Dafa - not directly connected with the anti-G20 protests, as far as I could make out, but a sight worth seeing.
