"Spay in May": Do they just want your address?
Posted May 18th, 2008 by AnonymousIn local newspapers throughout the state the Animal Welfare League is promoting its Spay in May programme. Cats and dogs can be spayed at a vet nominated by the A.W.L. for only $65 for holders of Centrelink cards.
I read the story about someone from the Animal Welfare League harassing a person who advertised kittens in the newspaper. I have a similar story and I wonder if it is the same person who did this to me.

Harassment and Attempted Intimidation and Entrapment
Posted May 17th, 2008 by AnonymousEight weeks ago a semi-feral cat wandered into my yard and I let her inside and fed her. She had her kittens in my kitchen and I have spent some time taming her. She has been vaccinated and is booked in for spaying. I consider myself a very responsible animal owner. I took the kittens to the vet for checking when they developed an eye infection and spent a lot of money on them generally.
This weekend I advertised them in the local newspaper. It is not illegal to do so.

Beware Exploding Dogs in Darwin!
Posted January 5th, 2008 by Mulligrubs
The Northern Territory News is often a source of truly amazing news
stories. On my visits to Darwin I can't wait to get my hands on this
great little newspaper. There may have been a major earthquake in
Melbourne, or the Taliban may have entered Sydney, but the Territory News is a bastion of defiance against the
southern states and the front page headline will read "Croc found in
backyard pool" or "Snake in Toilet Terrorises Grandmother".

Mark Gamble Saves Man's Best Friend
Posted January 3rd, 2008 by .Congratulations to a true hero Mark Gamble, a climber who climbed to
the ledge on Mount Maroon, an aptly named Queensland mountain where
four year old Diff the Dog was stranded for the last two nights,
harnessed him and
brought him down in dangerous weather conditions which included 90kph
winds and driving rain. Diff weighs 65kgs. Mr Gamble said, "The rescue
was tricky. Diff had to be coaxed down. We harnessed him and it took an
hour to get him 100 metres down."
