Afghanistan :All are unnecessary deaths At the hands of Imperialism
In the war in Afghanistan many , many ,innocent people have died and continue to die wholesale at the hands of an invading militaristic system where people may profit from wars.
A poster on Indymedia is justifiably enraged about this But, has commented on yet another death of an Australian soldier in Afghanistan in a way that criticized the individual soldier.

Anti-war Activist: Howard Government are War Criminals

Peter McGregor confronted the Howard Government in Federal Parliament on 19 September accusing them of war crimes under various breaches of international law, and was himself arrested and charged. On November 15 the prosecution was discontinued against McGregor, who immediately called for the trial/charges against the Chaser re APEC arrests (Downing Court, 5 Dec, 2007) to be dropped. He also called on the Australian people to show what they think of the Howard Government’s breaches on international law by voting them out of power on Sat 24 November.

Brisbane Anti-War activists engage with rush hour commuters

Last Friday, Sept. 7, a group of Brisbane based, mainly christian antiwar activists held another weekly vigil at the corner of Lloyd and Wardell Sts, near the main entrance to the Enoggera military base in suburban Brisbane. One focus of the vigil was engaging with the thousands of passing commuters who are slowed by several sets of traffic lights on this busy road....
