She
began her career as an artist at the age of 17 when she completed her
Certificate in Showcard and Ticketwriting and Commercial Art. She
painted advertising posters for various stores until 1948.
Jean
paints in an impressionist style, applying colours side by side with as
little mixing as possible to create a vibrant surface.
