The Coober Pedy Times reports an extraordinary story of a small town being silenced by its own Progress Association.
The News site, Copley Community News, was unplugged without notice causing a stink in the region which is attracting a lot of attention and questions.

No Cash for Community Radio & TV

The community broadcasting sector is unhappy that, on the eve of the election (and the sector’s annual conference) neither of
the major political parties have committed anything to sustain the future of community broadcasting.
Politicians of all persuasions have been very strong in espousing their support for the sector throughout the more than 100 meetings
that the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia has had this year. Those comments haven't been backed up with firm

Off the back of the success of the local skill-sharing, free help project that is ‘the freeconomy community’ (www.justfortheloveofit.org), the team have added two new elements to the mix – Toolshare and Spaceshare.
