US Media's Left Wing 'Agenda' and the Public's Knowledge of Climate Science
Posted April 29th, 2008 by AnonymousYou've heard it many times.
--The 'left wing' U.S. media is 'scare-mongering and alarmist' about climate change. They are frightening the people of the U.S. about the affects of global warming without having enough facts and research to back up their statements. --
The statements from researchers 'on the ground' ARE very alarming, no one can dispute that. Here are a few of the past year or so from separate, independent, long-term scientific studies. [Links to the report that these statements are ripped from are provided below.]

Stern Even Sterner
Posted April 17th, 2008 by AnonymousYou have most likely never heard of the 'Stern Review', a 700 page document that discusses the effect of climate change and global warming on the world economy which was published 18 months ago in Europe, and shook the establishment with its stark predictions of economic havoc that will be the result of climate change around the world.(1) He was widely criticised for painting such a grim picture of the future.
Well guess what, he has changed his tune.

Mystery of Global Warming's Missing Heat
Posted March 20th, 2008 by Anonymous
Oceans hold much more heat than the atmosphere can. Some 3,000 scientific robots that are plying the ocean have sent home a puzzling message. These diving instruments suggest that the oceans have not warmed up at all over the past four or five years.
could mean that global warming has taken a breather. Or it could mean scientists
aren't quite understanding what their robots are telling them.

Strata unit clothes drying law is greenhouse silliness
Posted March 9th, 2008 by Anonymous
NSW
unit and townhouse dwellers are being forced to contribute to global
warming by a state government law that encourages body corporates to
ban the hanging of washing where it can be seen, according to Greens
NSW MP John Kaye.
Commenting on a story on page 8 of today's
Sun-Herald, Dr Kaye said: "Residents without the opportunity to hang
their laundry out to dry are left with no alternative but to use
electric dryers.
"While natural sunshine provides free solar
power to dry clothes, the average electric-powered unit is responsible
for almost a half a tonne of carbon dioxide each year.

The Antarctic Ice Sheet Is Growing?
Posted January 8th, 2008 by Anonymous![]()
The climate change deniers never miss a chance to tell us that research
is showing the Antarctic ice sheet is actually growing. That sounds
like the total amount of ice is increasing and things are just
fine......the globe isn't heating up if it's not happening
there......right?
That IS enough to make some people disbelieve the climate scientists
because, after all, no one wants to think the climate is going to
steadily get worse. We all secretly hope that the deniers are right.
Yes, the Antarctic ice sheet is growing in height in the central
region, but making just that one point is very misleading and quite
dishonest.
