Sydney publisher exploiting journalists?
Posted June 18th, 2008 by Anonymous
You'd think that a company that is expanding and publishes three newspapers would be able to pay the people who write the articles.
But you'd be wrong.

Posted March 9th, 2008 by AnonymousThe Bureau of Probable Statistics (BPS) announced today:
The odds of the emergency phone system in the US
happening to coincide with the exact date of the greatest emergency in
that nation is ten million to one….probably
Given such statistics its remarkable how few questions have been

No Cash for Community Radio & TV
Posted November 25th, 2007 by Anonymous
The community broadcasting sector is unhappy that, on the eve of the election (and the sector’s annual conference) neither of
the major political parties have committed anything to sustain the future of community broadcasting.
Politicians of all persuasions have been very strong in espousing their support for the sector throughout the more than 100 meetings
that the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia has had this year. Those comments haven't been backed up with firm
Sydney Morning Herald invites us to send 'photos, videos and tip-offs' re. N.S.W. government....

Shame on you David Kirk, CEO of Fairfax. The HealthQuest/ADT/IRC/NSW
Health whistleblowers have been sending 'photos and tip-offs' for years
and your editors and writers have been ignoring them.
If you
lot had worked in Soviet Russia, you would not have exposed Soviet

[Spain] Anarchist website condemned to pay 6000 € to rock-star celebrity
Posted September 29th, 2007 by AnonymousOne of the main anarchist websites in spanish language,
alasbarricadas.org, will have to pay 6,000 euro to a rock-star,
Ramoncin, for some anonymous comments in one of their public forums.
Those comments were considered as ‘ofensive’ to the artist ‘honour’.
The trial took place in Madrid, the 12th of September. The judge
found the website guilty of having discredited this mediatic celebrity.
Apparently in Spain it is more important the ‘honour’ than the freedom
of speech and press.
